As our Software Asset Manager SaaS, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.

The Corporate Technology team provisions and operates a range of business applications and technology services to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of all Met Office employees. Our goal is to ensure that staff have the necessary tools and support to work efficiently, while adhering to our security policies and corporate standards for safe operation.
As a Software Asset Manager (SaaS), you are part of the IT Asset Management team which is responsible for managing the inventory and lifecycle of a range of IT assets, with a focus on hardware, software, and software licenses which are recorded in the Configuration Management Database (CMDb). Our purpose is to ensure that all Met Office IT assets are accurately identified, recorded, and tracked throughout their entire lifecycle from procurement through to disposal

- GitHub
- Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Artifactory

2. Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practice and tooling.
